The correct spelling is ANTIOXIDANT, and yes, these foods are good for kids too.
An antioxidant is like a super food for it has extra special nutrients that make the tiny cells in your body stronger. Some antioxidant vitamins — E, C and beta carotene (a form of vitamin A) — even help improve some health conditions in grown-ups, like heart disease.
A few good antioxidants are blueberries, red kidney beans, pinto beans, almonds, hazelnuts, artichokes, even apples and many, many more.
If you eat a lot of multi-colored fruits and vegetables daily, you will get all the anti-oxidants your body needs.
So eat a rainbow of foods each day for good health.
