I want to get thin but I can't. I know.
Exercising can make me thin and that's why I joined Basket Ball. Is there any other
way of going thin?

I am glad that you have started taking such a keen interest in your health, at this early age.

To begin with, let me make you aware of the ideal height & weight for your
age: Your weight should be 48 to 50 kgs and you should be around 150 to
155 cms tall. So, first ensure that your weight is above this range before
taking any steps to reduce it!!

With regards to your question....excess weight should be tackled with a
combination of a healthy, well-balanced diet + regular physical activity.
Physical activity can be either in the form of a structured exercise or it
can be something more fun....like playing basket ball or going for a jog with some friends. However, to achieve weight loss, you need to devote a minimum of 30-40 minutes of intense playing, at least 4-5 times per week.

You also need to be careful of what you eat!! Try and minimize consumption
of refined foods[made from refined maida], fried snacks, sugary foods &
junk foods. Aerated drinks are also a complete no-no! You need to eat more
of whole grain foods, sprouted pulses, colourful veggies & fruits in your
diet. Additionally, make sure you drink at least 8-9 glasses of water
everyday.

Overall, be disciplined about your physical activity & diet to lose weight
in a healthy way!!
