Revised RDA for Vitamin D and Calcium - the article elaborates the recommendations of the 14 member expert committee convened by the Institute of Medicine, at the request of the United States and Canadian governments which examined data of nearly 1,000 publications to determine how much vitamin D and calcium people were getting, and how much was really required for optimal health. Recently, the National Institute of Health - Senior Health issued a warning for older adults on the health risks of alcohol consumption. The body reacts differently to alcohol as it ages, and because alcohol consumption can have undesirable consequences on the health of the elderly hence they must reduce their consumption with age.
