The purpose of this Campaign is to raise awareness among children
of the importance of nutrition in their health and development. |
|
Today, children in India are influenced greatly by the entertainment
world that envelops and guides them towards fast food, with
the result childhood obesity is on the rise across India. |
|
Additionally, children are being deprived of the essential
nutrients their developing bodies need to grow and learn to
their fullest potential. |
|
We are proud that your school children are participating,
and we request you to encourage them to take pride in putting
forth this effort to show support for their abilities, as well
as for their school. |
|
Winning really isn’t everything, and we believe in our
campaign every participating child should be respected and treated
as a winner. |
|
Please encourage the children to do the work themselves, so
they may enjoy selfexpression and become more self-reliant. |

WRITING TIPS: |
Use strategies that are simple and fun. You can use them to
help the child learn to write well and to enjoy doing it! |
|
THINGS TO KNOW |
- Writing is more than putting words on paper. It's a final
stage in the complex process of communicating that begins
with "thinking."
- It is also an important stage in communication.
|
WRITING WELL REQUIRES: |
- CLEAR THINKING:
- SUFFICIENT TIME: Children may have`stories in their heads'
but need time to think them through and write them down.
- READING TIME: Reading can stimulate a childs’ mind
to think beyond the textbook, and make imagination an integral
part of the writing process.
- A MEANINGFUL TASK: A focused topic, that has an impact
on the child’s life at home and at school.
- INTEREST: All the time in the world won't help if the
child is not allowed to imagine and dream.
- PRACTICE: And more practice.
- REVISING: We cannot stress enough the need to encourage
the children to edit, and recheck their work. Paying attention
to spelling, grammar and thought process are critical to
their becoming excellent writers.
