Exercise can be started at any age. Before starting an exercise regime you should consult your physician to make sure the routine you are planning to adopt does not aggravate your existing health problems. You should always start slowly. Even if you are giving a break in your exercise routine don't stop abruptly. While exercising if you have chest pain, breathing difficulty, shortness of breath, dizziness, and difficulty in balancing consult your physician immediately.
