Common GI problems can be caused by:
- Microbial infections
- Stomach acid disturbances
- Digestive enzyme insufficiencies

Common Upper GIT disorders

- Dyspepsia- stomach upset or indigestion, characterised by heartburn or nausea
- Gastritis- inflammation of the lining of the stomach
- Ulcers- A sore in the lining of the oesophagus, stomach, or duodenum. It can be caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. Stomach ulcers are called gastric ulcers and in the duodenum are called duodenal ulcers.
