Potential side effects from excessive consumption - Immune suppression, nausea and vomiting, anemia, metallic taste, copper deficiency. Overdosing can cause shortness of breath, fainting and yellowing of skin. Caution: Keep a gap of 2 hours between taking zinc and any of the following: bran, fiber-containing foods, phosphorus-containing foods such as milk or poultry, whole-grain breads and cereals, and copper, iron, or phosphorus supplements. |
