Vijayalakshmi Iyengar Picnics are excellent de-stressers. Honest to God how many places are there nearby where people can take off for a day without feeling they are crowded in and how may families in India do take off for weekends?

Geetha Dear Sanae,

Use insulated and sturdy cooler with ice or frozen gel packs in them. Pack cold foods in water proof containers and can immerse them in the cooler with lots of ice or frozen gel.

Charu I also always carry hot tea in a thermos. Even when its warm outside, we all still like having our garam garam masala chai after eating.

Sanae Great suggestions.
Only worry is some of the items may melt before we enjoy them. Any suggestions?

Yes they are great suggestions. We do get containers which help you maintain hot food/drink piping hot and frozen or cold things in the temperature you want, to add zing to the picnic.
