Soy nut (not soy protein) used as a substitute for red meat in a DASH eating plan had beneficial effects on features of the metabolic syndrome. It could also be that the vegetables & fruits of the DASH diet were mainly responsible for lowering of blood pressure. In this short term study soy consumption, improved glycemic control and cardiovascular disease risk factors, in postmenopausal women with the metabolic syndrome.
Question: Increased consumption of soy nut in menopausal women a YES vote or a NO vote?
